The Journey Part 5

Windstreak watched as the sun rose, a new day beginning. He nudged Seabreeze awake and stretched. Rufus was already up, two mice dangling in his jaws. Clover and Poppy were sharing a vole in a corner and Tawnymist, Windpaw, Lithefoot, and Fallowheart were chatting quietly with each other.

"Thanks," Windstreak said as Rufus handed him a mouse. He took it to a corner and ate quietly.

After the cats finished, Thunderstorm climbed onto a boulder among the rubbish and glanced at the cats beneath him. "Okay," he began. "We need to gather all the kittypets in Twoleg Place. Snaketail should be coming any time, according to Rufus. We will split into groups. Fallowheart, Mistpaw, Seabreeze, and Windstreak will go south. Lithefoot, Windpaw, Tawnymist, and Cozzie will go west. Jubba, Fernpaw, Violetpaw, and Dustpaw will go east, and Rufus, Poppy, Clover, and I will go north. May StarClan light your path."

He jumped down and everyone split into their assigned groups. Windstreak sighed as he thought of the danger awaiting them in Snaketail's path. This would be hard.

The Journey Part 4

The moon shone down throught the hole in the thatched roof. Tawnymist stared blankly at the blinding light and thought of all that's happened to her. She rose silently and crept over the sleeping bodies of her Clanmates and the kittypets to a stack of chopped wood and jumped up and onto the roof. She sat and wrapped her tail around her paws and sighed. Suddenly, a dark figure darted behind her. Tawnymist's neck fur rose and Tawnymist bared her teeth and whipped around to face the creature. It had the outline of a cat, but she couldn't tell if it was hostile or friendly. Then, suprisingly, Lilypetal from Pikeclan stepped into the moonlight and sat beside Tawnymist.

"What-what are you-" Tawnymist stammered, but Lilypetal interrupted.

"I followed you. You do not understand the danger you are in. Snaketail is more than a threat. He will destroy us if you are not careful. Choose the right path and the snake's poison will stop. Choose the wrong path; the worst dilemma is in store for the Clans. Choose wisely."

And with that, Lilypetal crouched and lept off the roof and raced back to the forest. Tawnymist stared after her, her words echoing in her mind: Choose the right path and the snake's poison will stop. Choose the wrong path; the worst dilemma is in store for the Clans. Tawnymist's mind whirled as she slunk back into the abandodned Twoleg nest and fell asleep, those same words swirling through her thoghts.

The Journey, Part 3

Seabreeze snarled at the plump, brown kittypet. He backed away slowly, staring up at the patrol of Clan cats. The journeying cats had just arrived in Twoleg Place, and this overfed kittypet was their first obstacle.

"Please! Don't hurt me! What do you want from me?" the kittypet was splayed on the ground, trying to shrink away from the Clan cats.

Tawnymist stepped forward. "Do you know of any cat named Snaketail?" Her voice was definite and demanding.

The tom's eyes grew wide for a split second, then he blinked and shook his head vigorously. "No! I mean, no. I...I don't know what your talking about!"

Windstreak bared his teeth. "If you don't tell us, all cats will be in danger!"he hissed.

The tom's eyes grew wide with fear. "Well....yes...yes, I know Snaketail."

Tawnymist sat on her haunches. "Tell us what he told you."

The patrol of cats all sat back and let the kittypet have room to speak. The fur on their necks bristled with excitement of finding a clue and hatred for Snaketail.

"Well," the tom sat up and licked his front paw. "I am Rufus. Snaketail was wandering through the Twoleg Place one night and I was on the fence. He spotted me and bounded up to me and told me tales of bad, mean cats who will take over the forest if I don't help him. I told him I don't live in the forest, so what would I care? Then...then he said he would..kill me if I didn't help him. That he would kill ALL of us!"

Fallowheart's tail twitched. "Us? You mean there's more of you?"

"Yes," Rufus sighed. "He wanted to make an army of house cats to defeat the evil cats." He looked at the Clan cats. "Wait. You're the cats! You're..the evil cats!" Rufus's eyes grew wide with fear as he looked the foreign cats over.

"No," Windrunner stood up. "He is the bad one. We are trying to stop him."

"Hmmm," Rufus took the information in. "Well..."

Seabreeze growled. "Okay! Okay!" Rufus jumped as the fierce warrior growled at him. "Follow me."

Rufus led the cats to an abandoned Twoleg nest. "In here," Rufus ordered the cats as he slipped inside a broken window. The Clan cats followed him inside.

Lilymask looked around warily. Twoleg Place was big and daunting and she had just lost the PoplarClan cats. The last time she saw them, they were talking with a plump brown kittypet. Then she caught a songbird on a fence, looked back, and they were gone. Where could they be? she thought. She HAD to warn them about the horrible danger they were in...

Ok,ok! Lilypetal, we know you did not write those! In Pinestar's personal life, her ex-friend named LiLLy, did something. Now, Pinestar had to quit Blogger. Lilypetal, it was not you! We are not blaming you for anything! It was her personal friend. Not you! It was just a simple mistake, and now I hope we can go on with Clan business.

I'm sorry! Pinestar has left and on her departing moment, she left me to be leader. My warrior name was Berrysplash, but now I will be known as Berrystar. I joined PoplarClan as Seabreeze, but my other real name is Berrysplash. My mate is Windstreak, but he never seems to be on anymore! grrr >:( LOL.
